| Bio: | When I was 6 minutes old, I embarked upon a safari to the primitive african jungle to locate the lost treasure of the legendary monkey god, M'Pete based upon an incomplete sketch my father scrawled from his death bed while he was being strangled by a scantily clad traitor Nazi heiress that looked like his long lost twin sister, whereupon my single engined paper-Cessner which I built with my own hands and decorated with the flag of the country I intended to establish by force on the land of my evil chess-cheat neighbour, crashed into an uninhabited section of jungle which can be found on no map. It was after 6 lonely days and nights without shelter or my cherished toasted-sandwich-toasted-sandwiches that I was taken in by a leaderless tribe of Commodore 64s. Being only an infant, I yearned for the tender touch of a mother, thus a kindly old Vic20 took me for her own recently deceased child, and I suckled and became strong. As a result of this happenstance in my formative years, I used to have what I assumed to be prophetic nightmares, that those early primitive highly pixilated maths games had sophisticated AI that allowed them to commandeer the C64 and channel its power to take on physical form and attack me with maths problems and kitchen implements respectively. I think we all know about that. I also have an irrational fear of being at a bus stop and that tracksuit man is on the seat next to you and he’s hugging a gross doll and then he starts singing and then sucking his fingers while he’s looking you in the eyes, but one of his eyes is wobbly. Another result of my plastic heritage is that I’m a bit obsessed with that un-named video game genre where you have to get the girl and kill the baddies and save the planet from hard-rock aliens using your amazing powers of dance/rap/guitar power, Gitaroo Man, Parappa the Rapper and Space Channel 5. I would probably own a house or at least a washing machine by now if it wasn’t for House of the Dead, Puzzle Bobble and Hyper Bishi Bashi Champ. They sucked all of the money I wasn’t spending on booze and broads when I was at uni. |
